About hello summer

hello-summer-2020

Summertime in the city.

Hello Summer was launched in 2019 with the ambition to create local events for everyone living in Brussels. Taking the form of leisure hubs installed in various locations, numerous activities are proposed for all audiences, including sport, music, dance, interactive workshops, family fun… all in a relaxed atmosphere.

In 2020, despite the unique situation, the City of Brussels was keen to continue and expand these summer events, showing its support for the sectors affected by an unprecedented crisis and so proving that our capital is very much alive.

From 3 July to 30 August, the Brussels Major Events teams worked hard to organize a series of events in the heart of the capital and further afield, in collaboration with artists, technicians, organizations, businesses and communities. Numerous locations were involved, such as Vaux-Hall, Cité Administrative, high streets, squares and terrasses.

Despite the circumstances, Hello Summer 2020 was another success, with a wide-reaching programme attracting an enthusiastic audience in a relaxed but socially distanced setting.
