Environment Festival 2016

In 2016, it was renamed “Environment Festival” and expanded to include an international film competition held in the BEL building in Tour & Taxis. Filling two days, the festival attracted 25,000 visitors, who were also able to take part in various fun, creative and educational activities in Parc du Cinquantenaire.
Brussels Environment has organized this event since 2000, which was redeveloped as the “Environment Festival” in 2016. It was marked by two highlights: BEL Movie Day on Friday 3 June 2016. Céline Fremault, Brussels Minister for the Environment, Energy and Quality of Life, launched the first environmental film competition, whose theme this year was “Good Food”. Seven medium-length features took part. A bar/relaxation area and food trucks were available to the public. Environment Festival on Sunday 5 June 2016.
